Rituals revived on 2562nd birthday of Confucius

A ceremony is held at the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Confucius' hometown in east China's Shandong Province, Sept. 28, 2011, to commemorate the 2,562nd birthday of Confucius (551-479 BC), a great Chinese thinker, educationist and philosopher. Local teachers and students and the presidents of 10 Confucius Institutes in 9 countries and regions participated in the ceremony.
