Under the patronage of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani opened the celebration of the Fifth Anniversary of the National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed), organized by Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) this evening, which is held under the slogan "one promise, one journey" The ceremony was attended by a number of their excellencies ministers, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Qatar and guests of the country.
At the beginning of the ceremony, a documentary film was presented about the culture of rationalization and the importance of spreading awareness among the members of society to preserve resources and reduce waste.
Afterwards, HE the Prime Minister distributed prizes to the winners of the competitions organized by KAHRAMAA for all members of the society to contribute to the dissemination of concepts of rationalization and its objectives.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior inaugurated and toured the main building of KAHRAMAA Awareness Park, where he was briefed about its facilities, programs and services as a centre for science and knowledge and entertainment.
