The biggest Quran will be brought to Kazan Qolsharif Mosque on November 17. This edition is 150x200 centimeters, has 632 pages and weighs 800 kg. It is printed on Scotland paper. The cover is made of malachite and semi-precious stones and is encrusted with phyanite, jade, gold and silver leaf. The holy Quran will be placed in the hall of Qolsharif Mosque. In June 2012, it will be transferred to Bolgary in today’s Tatarstan and will be placed on the commemorative stone that was established in honor of accepting Islam as the state religion of Volga Bulgaria in 922.
