Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that Artist Abdul-Halim Caracalla and his band have "placed the name of Beirut on the global map of contemporary dance, adding a ninth pillar to the pillars of Baalbek Castle."
"One of the secrets of our country, its durability and survival are the valuable qualities of the Lebanese men and women with regards to creativity, initiative, innovation, leadership and uniqueness," added Hariri.
His words came during his patronage this evening of a ceremony entitled, "Acknowledgment and Appreciation of the Lifetime Achievements of Abdel-Halim Caracalla," organized by "Maqamat Contemporary Dance" at Sursock Museum in Beirut.
"It is my honor to join this evening in veneration of Artist Abdel-Halim Caracalla, for in that we honor our country and all these unique talents," said Hariri, adding that "despite the difficulties, they still tell the world that Lebanon resembles Caracalla, a magical mixture of local and international, old and contemporary, a mixture capable of renewing itself every day and giving us each day additional proof that this country, God willing, will remain a place of beauty, peace, work and productivity."
