The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir square will hold a huge celebration to mark the 114th anniversary of its inauguration in the presence of a number of ministers and ambassadors.
In statements on Tuesday, Antiquities Minister Khaled Anany said the Museum will be opened during the evening two days per week for the first time in its history.
Anani said his ministry is keen on activating visits to the museum and other archaeological sites, affirming that Egypt is safe and ready to receive visitors at any time.
The celebration will include opening a temporary museum of late archaeologist Dr. Selim Hassan in cooperation with the Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CultNat).
