The Egyptian Embassy in Beijing, represented by its cultural office in China and the Egyptian Media Office, on Monday held an exhibition in cooperation with Beijing University for the artistic productions of famous Chinese calligrapher Haji Noordeen as part of the Egypt-Sino Cultural Year 2016 activities and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Deputy Egyptian Ambassador Moataz Anwar opened the exhibition which also included workshop for Arabic calligraphy.
In statements to MENA, the Egyptian diplomat asserted that such event is considered an addition to the interaction and cultural exchange between the Chinese and Arab civilizations.
He also praised the distinguished location of the exhibition that was held at the Foreign Studies Institute at Beijing University with high turnout by Chinese students who are interested in learning the Arab language.
The ambassador also thanked Beijing University and its Foreign Studies Institute for their role in hosting the three-day exhibition.
He also said this year is a unique one as both countries are keen to enrich their cultural exchange and heritage.
