Culture Minister Abdel Wahed Al Nabawi mourned the death of renowned actor Nour El Sherif.
In statements Tuesday, Nabawi described the death of Sherif as a big loss for Arab arts.
Sherif had a history of achievements in the fields of cinema, drama and theater, said the minister, adding that he had been always preoccupied with issues of his community and nation, in addition to his special contribution with regard to introducing historic figures.
Sherif died earlier Tuesday at the age of 74 after a battle with illness. His funeral will take place at the police mosque in the Sixth of October City on Wednesday.
