HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari unveiled the projects and programmes of the Ministry''s strategy to promote the cultural field in the framework of the National Development Strategy 2011-2016 emanating from Qatar National Vision 2030. In a comprehensive interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), Dr. Al-Kuwari said the strategy seeks to achieve this vision through its long-term plan, which aims to increase demand for diverse cultural activities and to support them, to increase youth participation and their appreciation of culture, to improve the management of heritage resources, cultural and to strengthen their governance. HE Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Kuwari added that the strategy also aims to increase the number of high-quality talents in the cultural sector, in addition to the encouragement of interest in culture through the development of information systems, cultural research as well as the promotion of cultural diplomacy and cultural exchange.
