Culture Minister Abdel Wahid el Nabawy inspected Tuesday the theaters and open spaces designated for celebrations to be held to mark the inauguration of the New Suez Canal.
Ismailia governor Mohamed Abdel Hafiz along head of General Organization of Cultural Palaces and senior officials joined the minister in his tour.
They put their signature on a flag as part to celebrate the inauguration planned to be held on Thursday.
Also, they checked the infrastructure of the sites and crossed the canal to the east bank to follow up the preparations.
A new book would be written to document artistic work about the Suez Canal, the minister said during the tour.
