President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received today Minister of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning Essam Khalaf, in the presence of staff members of BACA and the Ministry of Works. She underlined the need for integrated roles and concerted efforts to preserve Bahrain's cultural and civilisational achievements through various projects. She lauded cooperation between BACA and the Works Ministry in this respect, thanking the Minister of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning for his contribution to upgrading Bahrain's cultural infrastructure.
Both sides reviewed a number of issues pertaining mainly to the ongoing projects in the kingdom and the construction and urban planning requirements in Muharraq which will be "the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018).
The minister hailed BACA's efforts in implementing cultural projects, stressing the importance of coordination between relevant parties in this regard.
