Algerian Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments Mohamed Issa returned home on Wednesday, after taking part in the International Fatwa Conference, which was held in Cairo on August 17 and 18 and organized by Egypt's Ifta House.
The Algerian minister met yesterday with Egypt's Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, who suggested holding an international conference during which each country could discuss its viewpoint regarding renewing the religious discourse, Egypt's Ambassador to Algeria Omar Abu Eish told MENA.
An initial agreement was reached to hold this conference before the end of this year,added the ambassador.
The two ministers also underlined the importance of correcting wrong concepts about Islam, he added.
