The first scientific forum for Alexandria monuments and North Coast Islamic and Coptic monuments called on the Antiquities Ministry to undertake projects presented to the forum like the national project to develop Sinai roads and Suez Canal axis development.
At the closing session on Sunday, the forum urged the Islamic and Coptic monuments sector to undertake all items included in a search entitled "forgotten Alexandria mosques" and register all monuments stated in the search as well as developing a plan to protect Alexandria antiquities and its important inscriptions.
Also, the forum called on the Antiquities Ministry, the Egyptian General Tourist Guides Syndicate and the Tourism Ministry to work jointly in carrying out promotion campaigns for archaeological sites and religious tourism.
