The UAE hosted the first technical workshop conducted by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in co-operation with the Ministry of Energy.
The workshop was attended by Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy.
The Ministry's initiative to host the workshop indicates its commitment to develop specialised national skills through the exchange of expertise and knowledge by specialists.
Four experts in the field of smart information and statistical data from OPEC participated in the workshop.
Employees of the Ministry of Energy and other oil-related national authorities and companies attended the workshop and discussed how to provide data in line with international standards, as well as the current methods of evaluating the data quality of oil and gas industries.
The workshop also provided information on the global technical terms used to prepare data sheets on oil and gas industries, which could help improve the quality of information and its efficiency.
