Muntajat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdulrahman Ali Al-Abdulla said Sunday he expected to company to raise the amount of products it markets to 120 tons to 120 countries, instead of the 8 tons marketed last year.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency, Al-Abdulla said that the increase was because Muntajat was now in charge of marketing all Qatar's petrochemical and chemical products. Since February 2013, Muntajat has been in charge of marketing eight companies including QAFCO and QAFAC.
Muntajat also distributed 90% of Qatar's chemical and petrochemical products. Al Abdulla added that there was a ministerial decision issued on April 13 this year to make Muntajat in charge of distributing 100% of the products.
On the company's performance, Al-abdulla expressed his pleasure that Muntajat managed to be profitable on its first operating year. He said that the current prices of petrochemicals are fair.
