Price of Kuwait's crude oil increased USD 3.73 on Thursday to USD 52.69 per barrel, compared to USD 48.96 pb on Wednesday, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said on Friday.
On the global market, forward deals increased some five percent against backdrop of the military operations in Yemen, amid fears of possible flare-up of a wide-scale conflict in the Middle East that may threaten flow of oil supplies to the world.
The Brent contracts for May's delivery ended up with a USD 2.71 rise, some 4.8 percent, settling at 59.19 pb. Meanwhile, the American crude contracts closed with a rise, USD 2.22, some 4.5 percent, reaching USD 51.43 pb.
