The price of Kuwaiti crude oil went up Wednesday by 37 cents to USD 41.17 per barrel, compared to USD 40.80 pb the day before, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Thursday.
Oil prices on the world markets also rose due to data announced by the American Petroleum Institute (API) that the US crude stocks had surprisingly plunged by 12.1 million barrels last week.
The price of the Brent crude was up 72 cents to USD 47.98 per barrel.
The West Texas Intermediate followed suit going up 67 cents to USD 45.50 pb.
