The price of Kuwaiti crude oil went down Monday by 29 cents to USD 54.66 per barrel compared to USD 54.95 pb Friday, said a statement by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Tuesday.
In the global markets, the oil price went down considerably yesterday due to Iranian statements regarding a possible resolve to Iran's nuclear file this week which in turn would lead to a possible increase in oil production Meanwhile, the price for the Brent mix at the London stock exchange had went down by USD 3.04 to reach USD 59.45 pb.
At the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the price for future American crude went down by 17 cents, reaching USD 49.59 pb.
