The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced here on Sunday the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) prices - propane and butane - for February.
In a statement to KUNA, the KPC that the propane would be sold for USD 450 per metric ton this month, an increase of USD 25 compared to January's USD 425 per metric ton.
The butane will be sold at USD 480 per metric ton during February, with a rise of USD 10 compared to USD 470 per metric ton last month, it noted.
The propane and butane are used for multi-purposes like cooking, heating and production of petrochemical substances.
The prices of propane and butane are affected by fluctuations of oil prices at the global markets and the rising and dropping of the US dollar compared to main currencies, as well as other causes like geopolitical conditions, natural disasters and economic crises.
