The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) was named Best Educational Institute in Banking and Insurance by the World Education Congress Asia Awards 2011, for excellence in education, leadership and teaching. The World Education Congress (WEC) Asia Awards are for non-profit bodies and institutions. It has hosted events, including the World Human Resource Development Congress, Chief Marketing Officers Awards Asia and World Brand Congress. The winners are selected by a global research cell, which constitutes professionals from different parts of the world. "These awards are of the highest stature and presented to individuals and institutions which have surpassed several levels of excellence and who set an example of being a role model and exemplary leaders," said WEC global chairman Oliver Warren. "This award is testament to the educational standards implemented by BIBF in furthering development capabilities of all its participants across the entire spectrum of business-related competencies, specifically banking and insurance," said BIBF director Garry Muriwai. "Our achievement is a collaborative effort between the excellence of our internal systems and staff teaching quality combined with the support of our board in enabling freedoms for sustained growth and development for BIBF ensuring we can match international educational expectations," he added.
