The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) issued a new Egyptian pound investment certificate with a 15 percent yield in return for foreign currency.
The certificate is nominal and will have a duration of three years, the NBE said in a statement Monday.
The certificate will be issued for individuals in their names or in the names of their children, added the statement.
The NBE also said that the certificate is issued in 1,000 pounds and its multiples with no maximum.
The amount of money will be in return for foreign or Arab currencies, added the statement.
The interest rate is fixed over the life of the Certificate, according to the statement.
