- The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Tuesday said it will sell 200 million dollars in an exceptional auction for the second day running at a rate of 8.85 Egyptian pounds to the dollar, banking sources told MENA.
Today's auction is of the same value as the one sold on Monday in which most of the banks operating in the Egyptian market have taken part.
The CBE offers three tenders to sell dollars to banks weekly, on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday of each week, in which the dollar price is determined by the CBE and thus in banks and exchange companies.
