The National Bank of Poland (NBP) will contribute its 2011 profit to the state budget, NBP governor Marek Belka said Tuesday. "It is difficult to say how big it will be as first NBP has to carry out an audit," Belka said during a sitting of the Sejm (lower house) public finance committee. In 2010 NBP's profit totalled PLN 6.5 billion. The central bank allocated 5 percent of the sum for the NBP reserve fund and paid PLN 6.2 billion to the state budget.
