Health Minister Sadiq bin Abdul-Kareem Al-Shehabi on Wednesday received a team of World Bank's experts and advisors led by the team's leader Dr. Firas Raad Al-Hussein, Dr. Annis Barsh the chief of World Bank's Health Department for Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The Minister welcomed the World Bank's delegation, wishing them a nice sojourn in Bahrain, praising their persistent efforts in cooperation with the Ministry.
The Minister explained the Ministry's keenness and priorities regarding the application of the new Health Security System, underscoring the role of local and foreign investments in the health sector.
The Minister expressed the Ministry's readiness to cooperate and provide all sorts of support to all the relevant sides in the application of the new health security system which would create a quality transformation in the provision of health and medical services.
The head of World Bank's delegation Dr. Firas Raad Al-Hussein briefed the Minister on the 3-themed plan agreed between the World Bank and the Supreme Council for Health.
The Ministry expressed gratitude and appreciation to the World Bank's delegation for their efforts and visit. Also, the head of the delegation Dr. Firas Raad Al-Hussein and Dr. Anis Barsh the chairman of the Health Department for Middle East and North African countries expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Minister for the good reception and hospitality.
The meeting was also attended by the Ministry of Health (MOH)'s Undersecretary Dr. Ayesha Mubarak Bu Onq, the Assistant Undersecretary for Hospital Affairs Dr. Waleed Al-Mani'e, and the Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Training Dr. Mohammed Al-Awadhi, and Zahra Badr.
