Maybank on Tuesday opened a new branch here, its 19th in Sabah, to allow for greater banking accessibility to the community in the area. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman has lauded the bank's support in creating a conducive economic environment and investment climate in the state. He said Maybank's presence enhanced the level of confidence of investors and traders in the growth and development prospects of Sabah. In this respect, the opening of Maybank branch in Ranau was proof of the banking institution's confidence in the economic potential and prospects of the rapidly developing district, he said in a speech read out by State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor. "Hence, I believe the branch will surely make banking easier and convenient besides giving a new alternative for the good of the local community," he said.
