South Korean banks are moving to issue contingent convertible bonds, or CoCo bonds, in their efforts to secure additional funds and improve financial soundness, market watchers said Monday.
CoCo bonds refer to debts that a holder can convert into a specified number of common stocks at the issuing bank when it becomes financially troubled.
