The Islamic Development Bank, in its capacity as Coordinator for the Programme of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), announced today the signing of a $40 million agreement with United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The agreement includes maintenance work for no less than a 100 thousand residential units destroyed during Israel's attack on Gaza in 2014. UNRWA said in a statement that the agreement reflected the trust it has with the GCC, the agency's biggest supporter. The agreement will provide the necessary resources to help Palestine refugees find suitable housing.
