Janet Hackman, Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Region, said on Monday the bank is highly interested in Egypt, citing the latest allocation of 700 million euros to back Egypt's private sector.
Hackman, taking part in the Spain-Egypt Multilateral Partnership forum that kicked off earlier in the day under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, said the bank also supported 43 projects in Egypt.
Egypt is an important investment-magnet market, she said, expressing happiness over the large number of participating Spanish companies in the forum.
She expressed the bank's readiness to offer technical support to Spanish companies willing to operate in Egypt.
