Emirates Islamic Bank, or EIB, announced the launch of its mobile banking via the iPhone, another technological milestone for the bank. The new application allows customers using the handset to access online banking from their smartphone while on the move. The new Arabic-enabled application is a first-of-its-kind offering from an Islamic bank in the UAE. “Smartphones are now an integral part of everyday life,” EIB general manager of consumer and wealth management Faisal Aqil said. “Increasingly, people demand technology on-the-go, when it comes to conducting their everyday activities. This new mobile application for Apple iPhone, provides an additional banking platform, designed to deliver the convenience of banking while on the move.”
