The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is decided to host on Sunday the 2016 annual meetings of the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB).
In a statement Friday, the CBE said a seminar will be held on "supporting development through sukuk/Islamic bonds: prospects and initiatives".
The seminar aims at providing interactive environment that allows all participants to identify the sukuk's role in social and economic development.
The meeting will be attended by Deputy Head of the CBE Gamal Negm, Secretary General of the IFSB Jaseem Ahmed, Global Head of Islamic Finance at Standard & Poor's Mohamed Damak and other Arab financial officials.
