The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 207.5%. Subscriptions worth BD41.5 million were received for the BD20 million issue amount, which carries a maturity of 182 days. The expected return on the issue, which begins on 20 October 2011 and matures on 19 April 2012, is 0.90%. The Sukuk Al-Ijara is issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This is issue No.74 (BH000963R847) of the short-term Sukuk Al-Ijara series.
