Banque Misr will provide necessary funding for small and medium-sized projects as part of efforts to fight unemployment and encourage free business away from government jobs.
Mohamed Atrebi, board chairman of the bank, told MENA that the move runs in line with "Your Project" initiative launched by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Tuesday to encourage small and medium-sized projects.
Two other banks are taking part in the initiative, namely the National Bank of Egypt and Development and Agricultural Credit Bank.
Atrebi said the funding will start from 1,000 pounds till five million pounds at most, he said.
