On Sunday afternoon, the Board of Directors of Arab Bank in Jordan, decided to nominate Subbaiah al-Masry as Chairman of the Board succeeding Abdel Hamid Shoman, who submitted his resignation a few days ago. The Council also decided to nominate his deputy Samir Kawar. Subbaiah al-Masry confirmed after he was nominated as Chairman of the Board of Directors that the Arab Bank was Jordanian and will remain so, at the same time, he denies the news about relocating outside the Kingdom. He also denied Qatar was buying al-Hariri's shares in the bank. He pointed out that there is no change in the senior management of the bank, except for the resignations submitted by Dina, Mona, Abdul Majeed Shoman and their father, in addition to Ghaith Mismar the legal adviser and the secretary of the Board of Directors.
