A delegation from the Al Jazeera Sudanese Jordanian Bank arrived on Monday in Wad Medani, the capital of the Al Jazirah state in east-central Sudan. The delegation, headed by the General Director Tariq Allawi, visited a number of institutions to evaluate the possibility of funding and establishing development projects. Abdel-Moneim Abdel-Aal, the General Manger of the state's bank, has pointed out the will of the Bank to finance investment projects, referring to the major positive steps taken on that direction. He also stressed that the upcoming period will see the implementation of more projects. The General Manager of the bank expressed his full intention to financially support development in Al Jazirah. The Minister of Finance, Sadeek Al-Tayeb has praised the increasing role of the bank in the state's developments. Al Jazirah produces the biggest amount of agricultural crops in Sudan, especially cotton crop. Moreover, the state hosts an agricultural project which is one of the biggest in Africa.
