Google is working on a Metro UI version of Chrome for Windows 8 users, according to a company representative who spoke to news site Mashable. Chrome is the second of the major third party web browsers to be developed for Windows 8 Metro, following announcements by Mozilla that a Firefox for Metro is in development. Opera, the fourth most popular Windows browser, says they are currently considering their options. “Unfortunately we can’t comment on any specifics yet, other than we are currently looking into Windows 8. The new OS and the Metro UI offers an interesting new platform and we know users will want to run Opera on it,” said Arnstein Teigene, product manager of desktop solutions at Opera Software.
