The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) held a workshop on Web Usability and User Experience with the aim of easing website navigation and enhancing online customer satisfaction to increase the use of eServices. It focused on how to make websites better by taking into consideration certain designing aspects and user expectations based on their needs. Almost 100 participants representing IT, strategy and content teams from various UAE ministries, authorities and entities attended the workshop conducted here. Salem Khamis Al Shair Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director General, TRA - Information and eGovernment Sector, said, "We are guided by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai who had stressed that all federal government entities must provide comprehensive eServices within two years." "This workshop complements the TRA's responsibility of building a robust and sustainable eGovernment in the UAE and providing a better connected government for the citizens of UAE, where they can access government services and information in time and cost effective manner. I thank all those who participated in this workshop and look forward to more involvement to achieve the vision of our wise leadership," he added.
