Web-connected Google TV devices will soon be able to access Android apps, movies, music, and books from the Google Play online market, the U.S. company says. Google said it would be adding TV content to the lineup of offering on Google Play, allowing people to purchase episodes of TV shows or buy an entire season and play it on a variety of Android devices, including smartphones and tablets, CNET.com reported Thursday. Owners of devices running Google TV will able to access Google Play content on their big screen TVs as well. Google said it has reached content agreements with several TV studios, including NBC Universal, Sony Pictures, Disney, Bravo, Paramount, Virgil Films, and Sundance. People who store their own music in Google's cloud based service will also be able to access it with any Android device capable of streaming content, the company said, including Google TV devices. Google made the announcements in a blob post Thursday from the Google I/O developer conference in San Francisco.
