If the company’s recent acquisition is any indication, the future of Facebook may very well be a little more "interactive". For now, a lot of people are still Facebooking from their smartphones. The social network now has over 1 billion active mobile users, according to the numbers provided by Mark Zuckerberg in a call with investors after Facebook’s acquisition of Oculus VR, a startup specializing in virtual reality, AFP reported. In December 2013, Facebook revealed that it already had 945 million active mobile users. Mark Zuckerberg also announced that Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, has just passed the benchmark of 200 million active users, compared with 150 million three months ago. In total, over 20 billion photos have been shared on Instagram.
