Samsung Electronics has announced that its share in Egypt's smartphone market crossed the 50 percent mark in 2012, rising by over 30 percent in comparison with 2011. Speaking in a press conference Wednesday, General Manager of Samsung Egypt Duke Park also said the company will announce the name the loyal customer who will win the second Mini Cooper soon. Park hailed his company's domination of the smartphone market in Egypt, which he said indicated that the company is maintaining a steady growth rate. He also stated Samsung's commitment to introducing its innovative and state-of-the-art products into the Egyptian market. Samsung's plan for the Egyptian market in 2013 includes increasing the range of smartphones available to include affordable Android-operated sets in addition to expanding its other products. The company will launch its Express series, with extra-large touch-screens in addition to upgrading its instant messaging Android app, ChatON.
