HTC, an innovator in smartphone and virtual reality technology, has announced the availability of the compact HTC U Play smartphone from the new HTC U Series at SR1,799 in the Kingdom.
Nikitas Glykas, president, HTC Middle East and Africa, said: “Customers are the focus of everything we do at HTC, and the HTC U Play is clearly an indication of our commitment to bring the best to our valued customers. With a liquid surface design, an ultra selfie camera, adaptive audio capabilities and an artificial intelligence based-assistant, this is the perfect smartphone for the masses.”
The HTC U Play is a compact 5.2-inch smartphone that is beautifully contoured and features a liquid surface design, a perfect blend between metal and glass. The device comes with the HTC Sense Companion, an artificial intelligence-based assistant with built-in voice recognition that responds to the user’s voice and enables hands-free navigation among other advanced capabilities. It learns from the customer to adapt to preferences and patterns in order to deliver a personalized smartphone experience.
The HTC U Play takes personalization further with HTC USonic, which uses a sonar technology headset to analyze a person’s unique inner ear to adapt to them and deliver clear and superior hi-res audio.
The smartphone also features a 16MP main camera equipped with Optical Image Stabilization and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) to capture every moment with reduced blur. The 16MP selfie camera with UltraPixel mode provides the user the choice of switching between the unparalleled light sensitivity that UltraPixel offers and the high resolution detail that 16MP provides.
The device is available across all major retail outlets in three colors: Brilliant Black, Ice White, and Sapphire Blue. It comes with an HTC U Play Clear Case, a Rapid Charger 3.0 and HTC USonic Hi-Res Audio earphones.
