New York-based video game developer Rockstar Games has announced the release date and debuted a new trailer for the improved version of Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The updated GTA V has the same plot, missions and setting of the original version of the fastest selling entertainment product ever, but adds a number of new features, side quests and technical improvements utilizing next generation console technology.
"Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC will feature a range of major visual and technical upgrades to make Los Santos and Blaine County more immersive than ever," Rockstar said in an official statement.
The largest improvement to GTA V will come to the games online multiplayer, which will now allow up 30 people to play at once. The current generation of GTA V only allows up to 16 to play.
Among the games, other upgraded features include new weapons and vehicles, additional wildlife, denser car traffic, a new foliage system, enhanced damage and weather effects and improved visual renderings with "increased draw distances and higher resolution."
Rockstar also expanded the world of Los Santos radio, adding over 100 new songs and new DJ mixes from the games existing roster of "on-air" talent.
The improved edition of Grand Theft Auto V will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 18, 2014 and PC on Jan. 27, 2015.
