We knew that it was all but hypothetical, but it was still nice to hear the words straight out of the horse’s mouth. In an interview conducted at the SEMA Auto Show’s Gran Turismo awards, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed that Polyphony Digital is already hard at work in the development of Gran Turismo 6, the sixth installment of the hit racing franchise.Talking about the game’s status, Yamauchi said: “Of course we’re working on GT6 already and I think what really will be the separating factor is something that we can’t update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6."That piece of confirmation should be music to the ears of fans of the Gran Turismo franchise, but on the flip side, all these expectations should be tempered considering that there will be inevitable delays before the game is officially released.Another question is whether the game will be available on the Playstation 3 or if it will end up being developed for the 3’s eventual successor, the Playstation 4.
