President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday received Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Yasser ElKady, and the Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority.
Presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said the meeting dealt with the executive situation of the integrated databases project, currently being developed by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in cooperation with the ministries and bodies concerned to establish an informational and technological environment capable of accommodating national databases in order to achieve integration between the various state bodies.
ElKady said the project will contribute to supporting decision-making in all government agencies through an accurate database linked to the Egyptians' national IDs.
It will also help in making policies based on a careful analysis of information, enhancing the overall vision of planning, ending the duplication of databases, fighting various forms of corruption, and filtering the subsidy lists to ensure that it would be provided only for those who deserve it, he added.
ElKady said the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology started efforts six months ago in cooperation with the parties concerned to complete the compiling, verification and integration of more than 20 national databases.
The presidential spokesman said the project aims to electronically provide the government services to citizens and eliminate the bureaucracy.
President Sisi ordered all state agencies to effectively cooperate to complete the project according to the schedule.
