S. Korea picks 11 maritime R&D projects

South Korea said Tuesday that it has selected 11 maritime research and development (R&D) projects mostly intended to strengthen the nation's infrastructure for future scientific research in the ocean. The development of a next-generation autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and a large-scale exploration ship loaded with high-tech research equipment is among the newly designated R&D projects, according to the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs
