Prime Minister Sherif Ismail opened the fifth Annual Conference and Exhibition on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for People with Disabilities on Monday in the Smart Village.
Addressing the participants at the event, Ismail said the government seeks to achieve social justice to nearly 15 million citizens with special needs and integrate them into the society.
On behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the premier launched a presidential initiative to integrate and empower people defying special needs.
The initiative includes several programs, including one on allowing technological access to schools of students with special needs and another on training 20,000 teachers at such schools, Ismail said.
There is a program on the e-treatment of persons with special needs, under which 100 e-treatment units will be set up, in addition to 200 youth integration centers, he said.
