With the vast use of daily data, Deputy General Director at the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) Majida Al-Naqeeb stressed the importance of setting up a comprehensive e-government system that connects the public with all the government bodies in a timely and convenient manner.
Al-Naqeeb made the remark in her opening speech at a national conference on comprehensive technology that kicked off here on Sunday.
The conference gives a special focus on the importance of the daily application of information technology at the levels of individuals, communities and governments.
She said that having a complete electronic integration among the government bodies is one of the Agency's main goals. It will help save time and efforts in processing official procedures.
The Agency has provided the needed technological infrastructure to exchange digital information securely through Kuwait Information Network, she added.
The two-day event is hosted by the Central Agency for Information Technology and is seeing the participation of local and international data management specialist.
Some of the international participants at the conference are Microsoft, RedPoint, Bravosolutions, Thomson Reuters and CA Technologies.
