India is planning to send another mission to Mars between 2017 and 2020, a top space official has reportedly said.
According to the head of state-owned Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), K. Radhakrishnan, the "follow-on" Mars mission will have a lot of scientific content, but the final decision on the mission will depend upon the success of the Mars Orbiter Mission, 'The Times of India' reported Friday.
India's current Mars mission is expected to reach the Red Planet in September this year, a year after it was launched.
