Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser ElKady on Sunday met with a delegation of China's Electronics Technology Group Corp. (CETC), specialized in cyber-security, solar energy and software development and research.
The two sides discussed means of boosting cooperation and attracting new investments to the sector in Egypt.
A statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology said that the Chinese group expressed desire to establish two centers for ICT services in Egypt and to cooperate and invest in cyber-security, human capacity building and data centers, in addition to research and development in circuits and electronic systems.
The minister reviewed efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to provide an appropriate environment for investment in the country.
