Imagine being on a rollercoaster ride that climbs 64 metres above ground and then plummets all the way down at 102km/h. This is the thrill that Turbo Track, the new heart-pounding ride opening on March 29 at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi promises. The coaster will launch you up and above the iconic red roof along a 180 metre track.
The ride is based on a high-tech Ferrari driver training facility, where guests are put to the test to see if they have what it takes to become a Ferrari test driver.
“We can’t wait to share this incredible new experience with our guests. Not only does this unique ride offer heart-pounding thrills for all riders, it also gives them the chance to see the world through the eyes of a Ferrari test driver, creating once again a strong connection with the legendary brand,” said Jesse Vargas, General Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
Three-phase ride
The ride has three phases which include on-screen training and performance analysis giving drivers an “all-around, extensive, technical, athletic and cultural training” of the Ferrari enterprise.
The final phase is the ride itself. Featuring uniquely designed front-facing and back-facing seats, the ride offers two different ascent and descent experiences. The downward plunge offers a hair-raising zero-gravity experience. “This exceptional ride is going to be another first, and I am sure that our guests, young and old, will be excited to experience Turbo Track – if they dare,” said Vargas
