Darwish Technology, the technological arm of Darwish Holding, has received “The 2010 Best Distributor Award for the Middle East region” during the Annual International Business Partners Conference recently held by Promethean, the British international leader in interactive education, in Fiuggi city of Italy. During the conference, Eugene Viscovic, president of APAC & Emerging Markets of Promethean International, noted the extraordinary achievements realised by Darwish Technology in the field of interactive education and its promotion across Qatar, and invited the attending partners to follow its lead. Ziad Asmar, executive director of Darwish Technology, along with department manager Chady Haddad, accepted the award presented to them by the conference guest of honor, international football referee Gianluigi Collina. Asmar said: “It is with great pleasure that we receive this award which is a testimony to our organisation’s competence, efficiency and commitment to world-class standards of excellence; as we are keen on constantly providing the best offerings and playing a vital role in the development of this sector.” This is the second award received by Darwish Technology in three years. The company has equipped over 1,600 classrooms with interactive whiteboards covering about 224 schools in Qatar, and offered training to more than 6,000 members of school faculties.
