The UAE has been ranked first in the region and fourth in the world in the field of advanced electronic security, up by 31 ranks, compared to the previous year, according to Competitiveness Yearbook World 2012 issued by the International Institute for Management Development. The report reveals the UAE excels in this area over several countries including the US, the UK, Japan and China. Commenting on the feat, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Qamzi, Chairman of Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) Board, said: “The achievement is another addition to the UAE accomplishments in the area of electronic security competitiveness worldwide.”
